NIck,

Does worshiping your website almost as much as I do Redheads count for a free book?  Oops never mind.. I just remembered I hosstraded My NC100.

On a serious note, any chance you are thinking of coming up to Nearfest this May or Oct.?  If so, any chance you'd be interested in doing some sort of talk / presentation on Navy Radio "Stuff"  I'm in charge of the technical presentations and am looking for a "few good men" (women too)  The pay isn't good but I can get you and your "guests" that come in your vehicle (no tour bus please!) in free for the weekend.  Additionally I'll get you some food vouchers good for the onsite food vendors.

Just wondering... almost politely begging but I know its a long haul for you.  You are well respected and it would be our honor to have you up here.  On the way home we could go to Steve Gutmans shop.  I'll distract him while you raid the place!

Subject: [Milsurplus] FTGH - Original Military Equipment Manuals

Free to a Good Home - my usual arbitrary Good Home criteria apply -
a) people who have done favors for me (and/or others)
b) people willing to scan/post or copy manuals for others -
c) people involved in museum or other restoration projects
d) people with interesting reasons, stories, etc.
e) people who won't flip them on eBay
f) people who'll make sure this info gets shared and these docs don't end
up in the recycling bin

...if you just reply "I'll take them" you won't get them - Why should I go
to the trouble of mailing them to you if you can't even go to the trouble
of giving me a good reason? - I can always just take them to a swap meet
and get a few dollars and keep them out of the dumpster.

It'd be nice if you pay postage, but not necessary.
cheers
