A few items i saw at this central western Oregon moderate sized hamfest:
R-388  $450
RBC   not marked; and i am sure, not sold
APX-6  was a table of a seller whose other stuff was all low-end hi-fi consumer
electronics. As my main concern was getting rid of weight, i did not even inquire.
Years earlier, i might have, but today i did not even want to hear "This is a really
rare unit and......"
GO-9 and PS, PS had been disemboweled. I asked price and hem and hawed price
was mentioned $125, i think i could have gotten it for 1/2 that or less, but....
only had one side cover, and that plus my disinclination to acquire big stuff
entirely squelched any further interest. I did note the logging cards on front
panel apparently had original WW2 freqs in it; one was 3629; also i don't
recall that i saw any of the dozen or so listed freqs being above 10 MHz or so.
If it had had covers for both sides, i might have dickered, just to save it, but...
Same fellow had a BC-230 on floor. I bought it to rescue it from ruin; meter
is shot and coil missing, but has black finish, 1939 date, and tubes in it.
Same fellow had ZB-3, which i bought and will transfer to Brad KD7GDT
One other table had 4-5 junky command sets, junky
2-seat rack; one unmodified LF BC-453; i didn't ask. Brad said he saw a
fellow carrying away a pretty good looking command sets transmitter; i
said, wait til he looks at it more closely and sees the roller coil and who
knows what else is gone. Oh yeah, Brad sold TCS xmtr for $75 and rec for
$50. I sold a GRC-9 for $150, a good one but not one of the prettiest ones.
