Mike, that's the way i felt. I didn't know of any of his ups and downs of his battle. Some
time back someone pointed to some of Ken's good stuff being on Ebay. I think that at that
time he was ill and was downsizing due to that. But very few except in his social circle
knew that. Prostate cancer. Some of the Northwest
AM gang were close to him and know the full story, helping him, i think, downsize.
I'd like to know more. Maybe someday i will. I think he deserved an obituary article in ER
at least. I also would have liked to have known more about the microwave something
business he ran in Bend, Oregon. Ken also knew quite a few interesting tidbits about
Red Star Radio ( Canada ), having talked with the owner and i think, maybe having
done deals with him. I think i recall Ken telling me the Red Star owner got the radios
as almost just price for filler for containers of other import material which was really
in his main line of business. ( That might be, as Geoff sent me a photo of an alley in
China strewn with crated 222 receivers in all states, NIB, N in broken up box, broken
up N in broken up B, anything. )
