That KWM-2A may actually have been an RT-718/FRC-93.

-93

There was allegedly some sort of sticker applied to KWM-2A units that
contained
the JAN nomenclature. But I've seen several KWM-2A units over the past 30
years
that were *claimed* to be RT-718/FRC-93 units, but none had any visible
indication
of JAN nomenclature.

TM 11-5820-554-12 may be downloaded from Google books at the above URL.

I personally have never considered that the KWM-2A even began to meet the
usual
standards for military radio equipment...particularly its use of RCA phono
plugs,
al la Heathkit. I guess as an "FRC" unit it got a pass!
