This is a very nice set Nick. I have a few, but, none as complete as yours.
For one of mine, I built an AC supply that snugly fits into the battery
compartment. It works great and I have made many contacts with it. A fun
radio to use. 73 - Mike

Subject: [Milsurplus] FS - Complete SCR-288 radio set

Hello all! A few years back I picked up a complete SCR-288. I quickly
found out this is not a beginners radio set thanks to members on this group.
It has been sitting in my collection collecting dust. Finally decided to
let it go to make room for other WWII items. First off, at this time, I will
not break the set up. I know there were people interested in certain parts
of it when I got it but I hate to break it up.

Information on the radio can be found here:
http://aamfgcw.com/For_Sale_Page.htm

Here is a list of what it comes with:

BC-474 transmitter and receiver.

GN-44 Hand Crank Generator, including legs and seat.

Canvas case for GN-44 generator.

FL-10 Filter

CD-125 Cable - Connects the GN-44 to the FL-10 Filter to operate the
Transmitter.

2 -BA-48 Dry cell battery to power the receiver (dead) and one converted to
operate with new batteries.

Microphone

Headset

Manual TM 11-250, October 28, 1942

I have not operated this set since I have no clue on what to do.

Thanks!

Nick Hopper
