[Milsurplus] [Boatanchors] Removing a Tube Base

Dave
I had luck with
Suck the solder out of the pins first
Set tube base down in a soup can
Add solvent like acetone to just above the base
Set it outside, protected,  and ignore for a couple days
The base comes right off.  Even that tube cement can't take continued 
exposure to strong solvents and eventually softens
