Ah yes, TRP-141. I had one around 1980, and gave it away. I thought it had 
definite
attractions, but not for me, so I gave it away. Ultimately I learned that it 
suffered
an unhappy fate. I have learned over the years that you definitely want to 
carefully
appraise a possible gift and a possible recipient: is it something that will 
be
appreciated as much as you value it? Are you ( I ) prepared to see the 
recipient
damage, trash, or disregard the gift? And of course, this applies so much 
more
critically when you loan something, like THAT manual.
The rig looks nice, but I'll decline bidding for the same reason I decided 
years ago
not to keep mine: fixed frequency, quartz controlled transmit AND receive.
