[Milsurplus] Radar

"RDF" was adopted for British Commonwealth use in 1935. It was replaced by "radar" in 1943. Reference "Britain's Shield" by David Zimmerman (which I am currently reading, otherwise I wouldnt have found the answer so quickly). So it depends on when the Foyle's War episode was set.
