[Milsurplus] The verb "to Hanz"

Well! (Said with hands on hips and trying with difficulty to have a
reproving look on face...)

My goodness...I leave you children unsupervised for a week to deal with
some family medical issues and you all run amok. :-)

More seriously, it was a bright spot in an otherwise serious week to
watch the fun that you collectively were having in exploring the
possibilities of verbs and adjectives normally reserved for a Proper Noun.

It also reminded me that, in the final analysis, all those here who
share this affliction for military radios and their peripherals do enjoy
the avocation with a touch of humor that makes life worthwhile. This,
(despite the odd disagreement or minor irritation caused by someone
having a bad hair day), has always made it a huge pleasure to be a part
of this group.

I have the dubious honor of announcing that Ralph VE3BBM wins the award
for the most creative with his "enhanzment" - a term which I may
shamelessly plagiarize at some future time of my choosing. Since it cost
me a keyboard while I was drinking my morning coffee, it only seems
right. With the award also goes an as yet undetermined "useful" piece
of radio equipment made from the "pull tab from a wide mouth bottle of
Mickey's Malt Liquor" (the contribution of the close runner up - Todd
KA1KAQ, and raising a whole host of unanswered questions as to how he
came about the information), assuming I can find one on ebay. Most of
the bottles on auction seem to be empty for some unexplained reason.
The second part of Todd's challenge, that of making it into a visual
treat, remains to be seen.

Thank you all for making my week, and Very 73,

  - Mike KC4TOS
