The Sunday after the Hamvention I always try to get over the Air Force Museum and take a fast walk thru. Did notice that this year there has been a lot of changes in the displays and set up. In the Vietnam section there is a new exhibit below the B-52 on what was involved in your typical arc light sortie and a section on operation linebacker, they also moved around a lot of the stuff in the Korea aria including the radio jeep but its still on display. They added a new section on spy satellites including a complete Agena/Corona payload along with a lot I did not notice. Couple questions about our national museums, noticed about half of the visitors there are foreign, saw this also at the Smithsonian too. Where are all the Americans, also why do all the Japanese want to have there picture taken by the Hiroshima or Nagasaki bomb? Always lots of Japanese around those exhibits, never saw one by the Bataan death march exhibit thou. Have to give them credit at the AF museum for having a large exhibit dedicate to the death march, almost as large as the Boxcar and nuclear bombing program of the Second World War. But that’s enough of my narrow minded Pro American spouting for now.
