"On the ER65, I appreciate the reports that are coming in on it, both on and off list."
Doesn't sound to me like you appreciate the reports based on the rather rude response you gave Al Klase. Al offered some possible insight and you shot at him. Uncalled for. How about "Thanks, Al. I am not sure this was a battery application, but I appreciate your thoughts." What ever happened to common civility?

Hue, Different Mike on the hamfest reports.
On the ER65, I appreciate the reports that are coming in on it, both on and off list.
One other interesting thing about this radio is that the ECH21 tubes each contain a triode and a pentagrid converter in the same envelope, so it is really a 4-tube radio: Untuned RF amp followed by the regenerative detector, and then 2 stages of audio amp.

RF, THANK YOU for your hamfest reports, I love reading your reports!
I will probably never attend a hamfest that size, so they're very
interesting to me.
Say, how did the show's ARR-15 and BC-342 prices get reversed?
Now re the ER65 receiver, that voltage is a new one to me. It's not
12, 32, or 120 DC. Maybe you could contact Bengt Falkenberg,
whose ER65 is on the RadioMuseum pages?
I guessed the date about the same, judging by the one "Made
in Germany" capacitor I saw.
Looking thru old marine radio manuals, I have seen plenty of examples
of simple circuit, but this is the most elementary marine product,
overall, I have ever seen, I mean, considering the circuit and the
mechanics together.
