Does that number ring a bell?  AM-864/U.  Its some sort of line amp in a 19 inch rack.  600 ohm in and out with a attenuator pot on each side of the input line.  Pair of 6SK7's for each side of the input line and a single 6SN7 driving the output transformer.  There is also a 6SQ7 Constant output control.  A meter can be switched between the output of the 6SK7's and then the other way to read the output of the actual output transformer.  Last person to work on it wrote a 1963 service date under the chassis.  Like to know more about this thing and where it might have been used.
