[Milsurplus] [Boatanchors] Weller Iron Frustrations

No complaints here with the older Wellers including  a Jr. that my dad  
gave me back in the 50's.  Heard somewhere along the way that tinning  
the ends that mate with the gun was a good idea.  Does give some  
improvement in my  experience but not a permanent fix by any means.   
Don't know how well it would work with the newer "set screw" models.
