There's a description of the *Army* set R-203/SR in JANAP 161 of
March 1953 ( http://jptronics.org/radios/Military/JANAP161/ ).

The entry for the R-203/SR is at:

This says that it is the RMCA AR-8506-A receiver.  The TM cited for
it is TM 11-875.  Neat looking commercial maritime  set adopted for
use on U.S. Army ships, apparently.
