[Milsurplus] TBW leg question

 I'm looking to make a set of legs for my TBW and the photo of the legs in the manual show them without the pads (disks) at the bottom. The same type legs as used on the RBM field chest but have the pads. I have a set of those legs and wondered why the transmitter legs did not have the same as it is much heavier than the receivers and would sink much more into the soil .

 Has anyone ever seen the legs with out the pads??
