There was a time when a lot of "manufacturers" suddenly
appeared on Long Island. None stayed very long.
MARS was a play on the name of the quasi-military MARS
group, where I've been a member for a long time.
As I understand, the equipment could have a military contract
number on it, and wiped off.
There was also a time when a lot of equipment found a new
home in the Middle East, and by some sneaky routes.
