I dunno, Hue - I'd believe it. A few years back at Dayton some of the
Japanese attendees bought a BC-610 that was there, stripped out the
transformers & other bits they wanted and left the hulk behind. Numerous
folks witnessed it.
Now, *why* remains in play - unless the old iron and parts have some
mystical power like WE items do. I'm not aware of a big homebrew AM
movement there.
