These are wideband FM receivers, companions to the RT-66,67,68. They are
sensitive, rather stable, and not especially difficult to work on. The
power supply is a plug in unit, allowing different input voltages. Most
of the time, I have only had to re-form the large plug in electrolytic
condensers, and check over the power supply. The vibrators may need
servicing , as usual, and be sure to check the buffer condensers. They
tend to get leaky after 60+ years. They all had a schematic printed on
fabric folded and stuffed into a slot. The tuning dial may have once
glowed in the dark, treat it with care. It's wise to always wash your
hands after working on these older rigs, especially before taking
refreshment. Great to use with the PRC- 6, 8,9,and10.
