Gang,

While searching for an ATB transmitter TM, I happened into an
interesting Australian site: http://www.tuberadio.com/

In the manuals section I found a document entitled Australian Telecom at
War, originally scanned by Colin MacKinnon VK2DYM.

It's actually a just-after-the-war issue of the Aussie trade pub Radio
and Electrical Retailer, and contains a lot of stuff we've never seen
state-side. Unfortunately, the scan quality left a lot to be desired.
I spent some time extracting the pages to .png's and adjusting the gamma
(exposure) using InfranView, then reassemble into .pdf. I also provided
page numbers, and a copy of the table-of-contents that's hidden toward
the end of the 180 pages.

(There's a picture of a 3BZ "Coast watcher" set similar to KW1I's on
page 109.)

You may download it from here, about 30 MB:

Enjoy,
Al
