Ah the pleasures of flying an unpressurized aircraft . . .
Any unpressurized aircraft leaks and leaks quite a bit. Its a distraction
flying in heavy rain
on final approach and having water constantly dripping and bouncing off of
your head. :-)
Leaks in the avionics bays were always a problem.
One advanatage of pressurization is that it keeps the water out. But then
you have the "howling"
air leaks, often we used wet paper towels to plug the holes and then they
would freeze in place plugging the
leak, The C-5A main entrance door often took a whole pack of towels to plug
the leaks.
