When I put up my GRA-4 mast, I made all new rigging with dacron rope from Ham Radio Outlet, stainless steel hardware, swaged-on eyes, and screw-in ground anchors. In place of the original snubbers like the one that you pictured, I used products called "Figure 9" from Nite-Ize:

Harbor Freight carries some of their stuff, but I ended up ordering them directly from Nite-Ize because I needed about a dozen of them. I think I used the "Large" size, but for 1/2" rope you will probably need the "Big" size.

They seem to work well, and they have no moving parts. My GRA-4 has been up for a little over 2 years so far, and has weathered some strong wind storms with no problems at all.
