[Milsurplus] Wayne

Wayne Green and John W. Campbell were both writers whose editorials were
-always- the first things I read in '73 and Analog magazines. They
would take either side of an argument just for the fun of debating. It
was a -very- sad day for me when Campbell died and it will be another
when Wayne goes. People like them are part of what makes life
interesting. I liked '73 better than any other ham magazine and of
course Analog had no rivals as a science fiction mag.

However, he often wrote editorials, etc., that were actually opposite of how he really felt. But, those outrageous editorials kept people coming back for more which definitely sold more magazines and he was in the business of selling magazines!
