Mike, KK5F, won the prize (had there been one!) by correctly identifying the
Diefenbunker treasure as being a AN/VRC-47. Using his technical clairvoyant
abilities, he properly identified our transceiver as being a RT-524/VRC
without even seeing a photo of it.

Well done, Mike. 

And thanks to those who also put in their two cents. Most appreciated.

Does anyone have an idea as to what it might be work in an as-is, no cable,
condition?
