[Milsurplus] Bomac JAN-CBNQ 6322

I have found a Bomac JAN-CBNQ 6322 in my junk box.  This is a small tube like component that resembles a vacuum cap but believe it is used in radar sets to isolate the receiver from damage.  Thee is a screw adjustment on one end that appears to change the gap between the two internal electrodes.

Any information appreciated and where this is used.
