In mid-1944, Wright Field reverse-engineered captured
German V-1 "Buzz bombs" and produced drawings from which
Republic-Ford produced about 1,000 "JB-2 Loon" missles.
Information is at:

Some German V-1s were fitted with an HF transmitter and
automatically-extended trailing wire antenna for tracking via RDF.
The U.S.-built missles also carried a better-designed copy
of this HF tracking transmitter designated
T-112/ART-19A, later T-121/ART-19B
( post-war tests with the Loons used a radar beacon ).
Here is a video of it sending tracking code "V" :

Fair Radio sold a pile of these as "novice transmitters."
I have one without any accessories and on NIB.
I've recently gotten one operational.
Does anyone else have one they want to get running
and is there enough interest out there to warrent writing it up?
