You will find many websites (Google is your friend) where cosmetic and
electrical restoration tips can be found. Lots of approaches and favorite
recipes. A comprehensive article on Boatanchor restoration techniques was
written by a prolific and excellent restorer, Bob Sullivan, W0YVA, and
published in the November 2006 issue of Electric Radio Magazine (
https://www.ermag.com/). Bob puts all of his techniques out there,
especially the cosmetic, and it is a great tutorial.

Back issues are available. This magazine is a fabulous source of
information on amateur, military, and commercial tube type boatanchors.
Articles that I look forward to cover the detailed description of cosmetic
and electronic restoration of specific boatanchors. Plus, there are
incredible homebrew articles covering everything from regens to
sophisticated receivers, station controllers, transmitters, amps, etc. etc.

Most ER subscribers, including myself, do not copy ER articles for further
distribution. Reason is simple. The subscription is a bargain and the more
subscribers we can get signed up, the more likely the magazine will thrive.
(no financial interest, just an avid reader).

Chris
