Nick,
I am looking for a “Standard” 5 wire Green Circuit handset from the WW2 era.
It is for a very pristine MBF that I have gotten and I need a handset
to go with it. I am trying to re-stuff the accessory box, which is
empty.
The handset as shipped was a NAVY # 51064 with a 20 ft cord and
connector. The replacement is a #51081 same handset with a 4 ft cord
and connector. I, of course, am looking for the other stuff….halyard
antenna, cables and tools/tubes, but I can make up a lot of that if
need be.
Have you ever seen a stuffed MBF accessory unit (col # 10406) with all
of its parts and pieces? I never have. I would love to see a picture
of one that is high resolution. I have a manual copy of most of the
contents. I also am looking for the internal front panel tuning
covers.. They always seem to have gone missing. Also looking for two
representative Navy Type (MBF) crystals.
I know that some of this stuff is going to be almost impossible to
find, but then you never know. I figure that the standard replacement
“Stores” stocked replacement # 51081 may be easier to find, but would
love to get a 20 ft cable version.
Thanks for your time – even reading this… J
Bill
