Robert,

OK, got it.  And no, can't imagine the SCR-178 being used at that time  
in that place.

As an aside, how powerful a set do you think could be hand cranked?   
Note that the TM calls for the SCR-274 to be switched to the low power  
mode (one 307A lit up, average 11.1 watts out CW) when running off the  
GN-45.  Could, say, a 50 watt out rig be hand cranked or maybe leg  
powered like some of the Europeans came up with?  What do you think?
