So, it would appear the AMC-145 is (maybe) the nomenclature for the 3BZ sets
as supplied to the Philippine resistance U.S.-led forces, supplied by US 
Navy
submarine.

I note also the Ogburn book says powered by a handcrank generator that
required "strenuous" effort. That would certainly describe the SCR-284,
the SCR-288, "not so much".

A fellow I went to tech school with, his father was an Army radio man with
the Philippines invasion. He told about meeting a unit of Philippine 
nationals
of some guerilla force. They were demonstrating the radio and one Filipino
couldn't crank it and the others were joking he was just too lazy. That set 
had
to be the BC-654 also.
The same man had a Japanese aircraft radio and dynamotor and a photo of
the crash landed Betty bomber it had come out of.
