completely aside, if you had nothing and wanted to buy a complete system, then 
it would be better for you to have the whole thing listed as one lot.  But 
if you have part of a set and are trying to complete it you are better off if 
the seller lists the components individually.  Same thing applies to parts. 
 If you need a repair part, you'd most likely prefer to buy just the part 
that you need rather than having to buy a complete widget assembly just to 
get the one part.

So like many subjects, what's best just depends...
