"Nowadays you better stick to the Approved Lesson Plan."

The current "Approved Lesson Plan" has been described by many educators (not 
to be confused with Teachers) as having been fabricated by an autistic eight 
year old meth addict.  Additionally, most of what is taught is just wrong 
and those that have approved these plans are too stupid to know.  I spend 
more time teaching children how to research, find and verify the correct 
"answers" than anything else.  Not what others want them to believe, not 
what others think they should know, but what really happened, who was 
involved, when, where, why and how.  Yes, it's not easy to do this with some 
expecting them to parrot back the garbage the state mandates.

"Question everything, ESPECIALLY the "answers"".

An interesting story:

I was telling a group of kids a story from my college years.  A boy asked 
about one fellow in particular, I described him as best I could, tall, thin, 
I think he was of Ethiopian descent, at which point the ignorant little twit 
started shouting something about racist!  Really?  How?  "You said he was 
BLACK!".  "No, I said he might be Ethiopian, yes, many Ethiopians happen to 
have darker skin, some call it black, he was really just dark brown".  Just 
to put the little turd in his place, I told him he was actually Irish (which 
my black Ethiopian friend used to claim just to mess with people, claimed 
his Mom left him in the Sun too long), and was an Ethiopian citizen.

Back to lesson plans...

I tutored a 2nd grade class that was barely making the cut.  In about four 
weeks they advanced from two to ten years in their knowledge as indicated by 
a battery of State testing.  My secret?  No secret, I just didn't follow the 
lesson plan and taught each one as an individual.

Some more idiocy regarding those who think they matter...

I was once suckered/trapped/cornered into a conversation with some dumb 
broad who was a senator.  She babbled irrelevance at me for quite some time. 
The iced coffee I had been drinking had warmed and separated into layers. 
After enduring her acidic verbal diarrhea, I said something to the effect of 
"thanks a lot, my coffee is warm and I still don't care about your issues. 
Make yourself slightly less useless and show me your tits before you 
leave..."  As you can imagine, whatever she had to say was only about 
herself, but the one thing I do recall was "that's not PC".  My response? 
"F--k You!  You want PC, go across the street where the politicians are.  I 
am NOT a politician, therefore, I am EXEMPT".  She left in a huff, didn't 
even buy me fresh coffee of show me her floppy yams.
