use it as a lubricant, it doesn't take.

Along with cleaning and shining up black wrinkle, it's excellent for
cleaning crud off things like the geartrain of a R-390 or such. Get one the
big cans, spray the crap out of it and it cleans the crud off nicely. I've
used it to get things like that moving again and to see just what I'm
getting into. What lies beneath and all that.

You still need to lubricate it, though.

I've also heard of folks using it to protect chassis etc from corrosion.
Never tried it. As with anything else, I suspect you'd want to be careful
where you sprayed it.
