Some kind of VHF dipole on mast? Even zooming I can't make it out,
scan resolution not good.
What's the purpose of this elementary article index? It doesn't have
a lot to recommend it, as for user-handiness. 
I'm happy that this post reminded me  that I wanted to buy the 
'whole Nat'l Geo on DVD' set.  The war years, particularly, had
swell articles with many fine photos.
