[Milsurplus] Question regarding swapping the broken multi element switch of an ART-13

Folks,

As I was evaluating several ART-13(*)'s I managed to collect throughout the
years, I was working on an early T-47/ART-13 (also has a British Air
Ministry tag on it) attempting to try to get it on the air. It passed the
smoke test, but the VFO and sidetone didn't work. I went through the
troubleshooting procedure according to the TO 12R-2-2ART13-2 manual. I
checked switch S113D of the multi element switch (the one under the big L113
coil) for closure on any numbered position of control "C". I discovered that
the shaft of the cam arrangement which activates the switch is broken and
the switch stays open when it should be closed.

I have an ART-13 carcass with only a few parts on it, one of them happens to
be the assembly I need to replace (see figures 8-13, 8-14, 8-15 and 8-16 in
the manual above).

My question is: does anyone know whether the assembly can be removed and
swapped without having to take the whole transmitter apart, and whether
anyone has any experience replacing the multi element switch assembly.

The ART-13 in question otherwise is in very nice shape cosmetically, and I'd
love to be able to make it work, instead just having it as a parts mine.

Any advice/suggestions and pointers are welcome.
