*__*

The following email was received from Lars Kalland SM6NM and contains
schedule info on the Annual Christmas Eve very low frequency
transmission on 17.2 Kcs. Several of us on the East Coast have been
successful to include N3FRQ, W2AMI and K4CHE.

I usually go "TDY" to the local beach to get away from the noise and use
a portable 4 foot loop but also have been successful here at the home
QTH in Delaware. This year my attempt will be with a much smaller loop a
"card board" special.
So drag out those low freq boat anchors and give a listen. NOTE that
the transmission is on Christmas Eve "Morning" at 08:00Z which is 03:00
EST early on the 24th. HINT: When testing your receiver you should be
able to pick up DOD Navy Station NAA on 24.0 Kcs located in Cutler, Ma.
