[Milsurplus] TS-452a/u signal generator

After trying hard to *not* acquire any more projects, one
of these followed me home today.

It is a 5 to 100 mc/s sweep generator, with built in
scope.

After some initial checks, fired it up, and no smoke
escapes.  The scope is bright, and responds when the
RF out is fed to the vertical in. However all I can
see are lissajous patterns on the trace.

Anyone have  or know where I can find the manual for this
unit?

Also, are there any practical uses for it?
