Not sure what "it" or the "mockup" was...could you elaborate?

That's an interesting conclusion, Gary.  I'm curious...on what do you 
base this assessment?  I have part of the PB4Y-2 ECM visual story at 
http://aafradio.org/sidebar/PB4Y2_Line_Maintenance_Manual.html that 
shows rows of these aircraft under modification for the mission, but I 
would be delighted to send you the rest of the Line Maintenance Manual 
for the PB4Y-2 ECM version if you would like.  Not only did they exist, 
but they provided a piece of countermeasures history that was essential 
to the postwar development of countermeasures. Alfred Price has a decent 
overview in his 1st volume on the history of US electronic warfare.
