These guys do events where they are  in full dress. Google " Tanks in 
Town " in Belgium or the War & Peace  show.

On the topic of dress up I've heard remarks from military &  ex-military 
people who resent civvies "playing soldier". One chap said he  would 
prefer to see a person in civilian cloths rather than an aged,  
overweight, balding person in WW2 BD.

How many of us wear some  matching theme clothes when attending a mil 
radio  function?
