The only reliable model was the very large, heavy one.
Had a mercury vapor tube for the low voltage rectifier.
The smaller they made those RA-34's the more chance
they would melt something inside.
We ran a pair of BC-191's as LF Homing Beacons at
Templehoff in Berlin,  and later I used a pair at Braunschweig
in the Brit Zone of Germany.
All during the Airlift (1948 ?).  To this day I can still hear that
ID keyer motor going round and round.
Also: I have the matching LF Tuning Unit here.  Don't need it.
Maybe good for the new LF ham band.
