I don't doubt that it would work mechanically, especially to locate the
indicator between the crank and the loop, or the crank between indicator
and the loop.

But...there would not be need for this to support two control locations
(with two cranks and two indicators).  There is *no* provision in the
MN-26** to implement control from more than one station.  Its MN-28**
control box has no control transfer push-button, nor is there a control
transfer switch that responds to a control transfer command.  There is
no need for chained splines for tuning or loop orientation from two
locations.
