[Milsurplus] Early National RX and coils for the Navy

Looking for info on a National RAD-2 receiver, which used a coil set made by National, the CAN-47040. I’ve got the coil set, 20 pcs (2 per band), covering 250 Kc to 33.3 Mc.  Navy contract date is 1932. I’ve Googled, searched K4NYW’s site, etc., with no luck. Just interested in the history, the coil set is not for sale, as I use it in a repro of a Jim Lamb 1932 single signal superhet built by W4AWS (SK).
