It never hurts to try, Robert. From time to time, some of us will list
what we're planning to bring along to sell which helps grease the
hamfest skids a bit. If you have interested and/or committed buyers,
it's worthwhile to haul more equipment to the event. If you have
specifics, posting them can tickle some dim memory neurons, causing
someone to remember there's one under the workbench.
Not sure how much mil gear I'll be bringing up to NEAR-Fest. Did quite
well at Shelby/Dallas, selling my BC-191 project, a Korean war-era
field phone, several ARC Type 12-15 sets and numerous other bits.
Still have a lot to dig through, though. There's an early Radar set
stashed around here somewhere, but it's not going anywhere until it
has a committed buyer. Too big & heavy, takes up too much room in the
vehicle.
Swing by the AM Corral and check out our tables. I'll be set up with
W3JN who often has some interesting high-end mil/gov't gear, and
WA2PJP who has mainly 50s-era ham gear. We set up right on the peak of
the little peninsula where the road splits, over behind Dale and the
military boys. They always have some interesting bits. George/K1ANX
does as well.
