I've always preferred the non-Q models...to me, the antenna trimmer 
alone is a feature worth having.  That being said, these questions 
usually devolve into one's personal opinion without any solid 
performance figures, thus ensuring that no real conclusions can be 
reached.  There are too many variables for valid comparison, including 
the condition of each person's favorite receiver. Opinions are fine - 
everyone has one - but it would be interesting to see a refreshed model 
of each series put through a comprehensive set of receiver tests, with 
data like signal distortion, noise floor, dynamic range, etc. being 
collected.
