Subject: A question about the OCR-1 Voltmeter
To: nick at navy-radio.com

Hello Nick,

My name is Ian and I live in the U.K. I was wondering if you could
possibly help me with a bit of information about the OCR-1 Voltmeter
Pictured on your website. A very good friend of mine who is retired
USAF Has given me one of these old test meters to get working for him.
He bought it from a navy surplus auction many many years ago and knows
nothing about them. I have tried to get information on this meter so
that I can test it out for him. Most of the Markings on the front of
the meter are scratched off and there are no batteries inside to power
it for resistance testing. It does all look complete. The gauge
mounting was cracked and There was a wire off inside. I’m pretty sure
that I have put the wire back where it belongs. A schematic would
have been a godsend but sadly lacking. It looks like there are 2
different types of batteries that would normally have been fitted
inside the unit. I have no idea at all what the ratings of these
batteries would have been and after months of looking online I am
still no closer to finding out. I was wondering if you might possibly
be able to throw some light on the batteries used or a possible
schematic or sharper image of the unit that will help with identifying
the markings.

Any help at all that you may be able to give me would be great and very welcomed

Many thanks for your time.

Yours faithfully Ian
