A number of the old plastic knobs from AC/DC broadcast band radios just happen to fit the splines on the ARC-5 /  SCR-274N tuning assemblies.

Subject: [Milsurplus] BC Band ARC-5 Found at OVRC Fest

The first annual OVRC "Fly-In" Fest was held at the Marana Airport and we
had several folks actually fly in to the Fest.

While looking over the goodies I came across a BC Band ARC-5 Receiver
(CBY-46145). It has the usual RF/AF Gain Mod and BFO switch added, but
neatly done.

There were a few vent holes with perf aluminum added to the top cover and
one to the bottom cover. Not sure why that was done. Other than that and a
little Sonoran Desert dust on it, it looks pretty good.

Still vacillating on firing it up, but I may just cobble up a couple
of supplies to
hear it play. No tuning knob, but I can do the poly tubing thing, unless I find
something better to use.
