John -
I have seen a non military adapter, 500 home variable resistor mounted
in a metal box with 2 Banana binding posts on the OUT side. The IN side
connected with a shielded cable with pins connected to ANT & GND on the
BC221. The OUT side with banana plug/lugs with alligator clipped wires,
his BC221 installation. The resistor was used to attenuate the signal
as best I can remember. The LM frequency meters have the variable
resistor built in. Most of the time you simply lay a wire near the set,
will do. I am sure there may be other homemade gadgets for the BC-221?
