The "Surplus Schematics Handbook" was the first one I got back in 1964.
There were at least two other very good volumes published by Editors &
Engineers titled "The Surplus Handbook". I have vol. 1, and am looking
for the others. These are 8 1/2 X 11 sized, well printed, and have good
pictures of the equipments as well as schematics. The photos are great
as a reference for restoring a butchered or painted set, or finding
which style of knob is correct when the original is missing or
"updated". Any leads for hard copies or downloads are welcome, and I
recommend the manuals.
