I would hope the new owner of the code practice set bought it for the 
SET-ness and
not just a shipping box containing harvestable keys.
I have a larger practice set, don't recall the nameplate right now. It has 
spaces for
something like 10 keys, and I think about 6 remain. I know I could buy the 
keys back,
one at a time, at the hamfests, but I could never get my money back. I have 
delayed
selling the thing for this reason: I don't want the set broken up so someone 
can sell
the keys for the sake of a few bucks. I cancelled one buy offer because I 
suspected
it was going overseas. Guess I'm a bit nuts in that respect. So I suspect I 
will be
keeping the unit for a while yet, unless I run into someone like a CW key 
collector
who just happens be interested in instructional sets too.
I didn't start out to collect telegraph instruction sets at all, but now I 
have this
U.S. set; a Japanese wind-up set which plays practice letters off a punched,
stainless steel disc, along with a separate tone generator; and a German 
Navy
practice tone generator too. Maybe I should try to find the one person who 
would
be interested in all three equipments.  -Hue
