243 MHz is not that far from a ham band, where the operation of the radio 
could
be demonstrated.
My question would then be, "most"  URC-10, or is it all,  have the potted 
modules?

Most URC-10 that I have seen have a spongy potting compound that
easily dissolves if you find the correct solvent. Assuming you
succeed in this aspect, where in the frequency spectrum would you
want to go starting with a 243 MHz AM low power radio?
