Try collecting military vehicles... that truck that you've always wanted always seems to be on the opposite end of the continent! :)

I've had a shop van shipped from Maryland to me in southern California, and a wrecker shipped from Wisconsin. Sometimes shipping costs as much as, or even more than, the price of the item.

I think it's just a universal rule that the distance from you to the toy that you want is inversely proportional to its weight.
